I have always wanted to play with the Orchestra, says Iwona Widomska. Her adventure with WOŚP began when she was ten years old. Now, together with his wife, Marta Warchoł, they have put wedding dresses up for auction. In “You get up and know” on TVN24, the journalists talked about their unique wedding ceremony.

On Monday, Marta Warchoł posted a photo from the wedding with the caption: “The dresses went under the hammer! This year we are happy to play together with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation.” “Dresses are not only beautiful creations, but also souvenirs and symbols of love and equality, and now they can also become a symbol of helping,” we read.

Journalists about their unique wedding
Iwona Widomska and Marta Warchoł talked about their wedding in Tuesday's edition of “Wstańsz i pozna” on TVN24. – It was a humanistic ceremony, because of our laws in Poland – said Marta Warchoł. – We wrote the vows ourselves and the ceremony lady gave us a symbolic wedding, but apart from that everything was very traditional: almost a hundred guests, a multi-course lunch, dinner, bouquet throwing, first dance. So everything is in accordance with traditions, the TVN journalist continued.
Iwona Widomska admitted that the wedding day was “special” for her. – Very touching and from my perspective it was no different from a real wedding, one concluded in an office – said the journalist and producer of TVN and TVN24. Marta Warchoł recalled that when she posted a photo with her beloved online three years ago, she read a lot of negative comments. – Now, when I compare it with our wedding, I will say that the public perception has changed a lot – she said. – Now everyone wished us luck, the haters were a permille – she added.

The host of “You get up and know” Łukasz Jedliński reminded that Iwona Widomska is a “veteran of playing with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity” and quoted the content of the “Echa Dnia” article from 25 years ago. “The absolute record among collectors was broken by two 11-year-old girls from Kielce, who collected PLN 1,078 in a can.” One of the record holders was Iwona Widomska. The volunteers “delivered their can under the escort of their mother. The girls took part in the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity for the second time. Let's keep it up,” wrote the Kielce daily.
– I always wanted to play with the Orchestra and I played for the first time at the age of 10. This record was broken when I was 11 years old. I actually remember that the can was extremely heavy that day, it was actually falling apart – recalled Iwona Widomska on TVN24. She emphasized that at the beginning of the 21st century, the minimum salary “was PLN 700.”
WOŚP – when will it play this year?
The 33rd finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity will take place on January 26. This time the orchestra will play for pediatric oncology and hematology. – If we collected as much as last year, i.e. over PLN 282 million, hematology and oncology would be provided with everything we dreamed of.
