Policemen from the Warsaw Headquarters inform about subsequent methods of fraudsters. They offer “legal” work of a driver or a car seller and tempt with attractive earnings. In fact, the goal is to sell an expensive car that was rented from the rental company. Three people were detained in this matter.

According to the police, criminals come up with more and more effective methods of fraud. To avoid detection, they use people who are not aware that they are taking part in criminal practice.

They control everyone remotely

As staff sergeant Paweł Chmura from the press team of the Warsaw Police Headquarters explains, on the portal with the ads you can find several job offers. One of them concerns Driver's positions of a luxury car and limited to rent a car for his rental data. Later, the “employed” is to transport documents or directors of companies and people in high positions. The second offer is Signing contracts with new employees on behalf of the company. Next washing cars and breaking car rental markings from them (preparation for sale). The next offer is addressed to young women and concerns accepting people interested in buying a vehicle and signing a contract with them. Fraudsters “helping” the new employee even send her a scheme of answering many possible buyers' questions. The last job offered is Receiving cash and transferring it to cryptocurrency wallets.

– Earnings are over nine thousand zlotys, and the scope of duties is not wide. Contact with the employer takes place only through the application. Fraudsters, creating ads, impersonate an existing company. They do not show up at any stage of this practice. They control everyone remotely. None of the employed people is aware that they are participating in criminal procedure – explains the policeman. And as he adds, people who come to buy a car are the most injured fraud. – Apart from the lower price, the auction does not arouse suspicion. The posted photos are the same that newly employed send employers to show the work done. After some time, officers knock and secure the vehicle. Money is lost – emphasizes the staff sergeant.
