That night and on Friday in the morning a lot of temperature drops in many regions of the country are expected. The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued warnings in 14 voivodships against frosts.

Synoptics of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued first degree warnings on a three -stage, growing scale.

First degree warnings IMGW – frost

IMGW forecasts a decrease in air temperature to about -2 degrees Celsius, and at the ground to -5 degrees C. Alarms were issued in the voivodships:

  • Kuyavian-Pomeranian;
  • Lubuskie;
  • Greater Poland;
  • Mazowieckie;
  • Łódź;
  • Lower Silesia;
  • Opole;
  • Podlasieoutside the poviats in the north of the region;
  • Lublinoutside the poviats in the south of the region;
  • Warmian-Masurian Voivodeshipexcept for poviats in the north of the voivodship;
  • Pomeranian, outside the coastal poviats;
  • West Pomeranianoutside the following poviats: Kamieński, Gryficki, and Kołobrzeg, Koszalin and Sławieński;
  • Silesianin the following poviats: Częstochowa, CzęstochowaKłobucki, Lubliniecki, Cieszyn, Bielsko-BiałaŻywiecki;
  • Lesser Polandin the following poviats: Suski, Nowotarski, Tatra, and Nowosądecki, Nowy SączGorlicki.

Temperature drops are forecast between midnight and 7 o'clock on Friday.

What is the first degree meteorological warning

According to the IMGW definition, the first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that can cause material losses and a threat to health and life. Conducting activities in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from conducting activities in the area of ​​threat, including delays caused by traffic difficulties, disturbances in outdoor events or the possibility of their dismissal. Recommended caution, the need to track messages and the development of the weather situation.
