The subsidy for the purchase of an electric bike is to start in 2025. According to the project's assumptions, the amount of the subsidy for the purchase is to reach PLN 5,000. The project went to public consultation on Thursday.
Consultations for the “My Electric Bike” program begin on Thursday, which provides non-refundable funding for the purchase of an electric bike, an electric cargo bike, or a bicycle stroller.
The consultation will last until 18 July this year.
The program is to be financed from the Environmental Modernization Fund. The total amount allocated for its implementation is PLN 300 million.

The amount of subsidy for the purchase of an electric bike is to be up to PLN 5,000, and for a transport bike (cargo) up to PLN 9,000. According to the project, subsidies will be paid in the form of a refund of a vehicle already purchased as a refund of up to 50% of eligible costs.
However, in order to obtain funding, several conditions will have to be met, including the purchased bicycle will have to be new, and the buyer will be obliged to register the vehicle and mark it with a special number placed on the frame,
The funding will not cover leasing or purchase of equipment.
The project is scheduled to be implemented in 2025-2029, with contracts to be signed by the end of June 2029. The money earmarked for this purpose will be spent by the end of 2029.
