The accident occurred on Wednesday (November 6) on Konopnicka Street in Galewice in Wieruszów County. The services received a report of an incident involving a passenger car that hit a residential building.

“Yesterday, after 2 p.m., our troop was dispatched to a passenger car accident that hit a residential building in Galewice. Two people were injured in the incident and, by decision of the Emergency Medical Services, they were transported to hospital,” we read in the entry of firefighters from the Volunteer Fire Department in Ostrówek.

Police findings show that the woman driving the car had over 2.5 per mille of alcohol in her exhaled air.

– The 36-year-old driver of a Renault Megane was driving along Szkolna Street and, for unknown reasons, hit a property fence and then hit a single-family building. It turned out that the driver had over 2.5 per mille of alcohol in her body, and her blood was also taken for testing. The officers secured traces and inspected the place and the vehicle involved in the incident. On the same day, it turned out that the driver and one of the household members suffered injuries. The police are conducting investigations in this case, which will answer the question of what was the exact cause of this incident, said Senior Aspirant Piotr Siemnicki from the District Police Headquarters in Wieruszów.

There was a middle-aged woman in the room where the wall was cracked. Both victims with bodily injuries were taken to the hospital in Wieluń. Their lives are not in danger.
