Garwolin police arrested a 17-year-old. They determined that he first stole spray paint and then used it to paint cars, shop windows, and the facade of a building. The damage was estimated at 16 thousand złoty.
On Thursday, July 18 at approximately 1:45 a.m., the police received a report that a suspicious person was hanging around Targowa Street in Garwolin. The police went to the indicated address.
“They noticed a young man who was spray painting the walls of the building and the windows of service premises. When he saw the police officers, he started to run away. The officers ran out of the police car and after a short foot chase, caught up with the fugitive,” said Sub-inspector Małgorzata Pychner from the Garwolin County Police Headquarters in a statement.
He not only painted
The detainee turned out to be a 17-year-old resident of Rzeszów County. “During further activities, the police determined that the minor had stolen a radio and spray paint from a car parked on Sikorskiego Street, with which he vandalized two cars,” Pychner added.
As the police determined, he caused more damage in the area. They reported that they also found paint on a nearby fence, mailbox and advertising banner. “The teenager put obscene slogans and drawings on the destroyed items,” the policewoman described.
The 17-year-old was taken to a police cell. According to the police, he was charged with destruction of property on Friday. He will also be held accountable for the misdemeanors he committed.
