A sidewalk sweeper burned down in Garwolin. When firefighters responded, the entire machine was engulfed in flames. The sweeper was new and cost the office PLN 361,000.
The incident took place at Aleja Legionów.
The fire brigade received a call at 11 a.m. It concerned a fire in a sidewalk sweeper.
– After arriving at the scene of the incident, the person in charge of the rescue operation found that the sweeper was completely engulfed in fire. The fire brigade's actions included securing the place and applying heavy foam, which led to complete extinguishment. In addition, the vehicle was checked using a thermal imaging camera to eliminate possible sources of fire, said Senior Capt. Piotr Filipek from the fire brigade in Garwolin.
The action lasted about an hour. Two fire brigades were on site.
As Artur WÄ™grzynowicz, a reporter for tvnwarszawa.pl, found out, the sweeper that burned down is a new acquisition of the city hall. – The office bought it for PLN 361,000 – the reporter informed.
