Gdańsk Zoological Garden. A camel was born and the drips hatched

The Gdańsk zoo enjoys the birth of new pupils. In the spring, the family of two -greash camels and kapodziobs increased. – Each such birth is a great joy for us – said Emilia Salach, director of the Gdańsk zoo.

The Gdańsk Zoological Garden boasted new charges. – We started spring with the birth of a two -gallery polybha. He is a boy, his parents are an experienced couple, Warszawka and Elvis – said Emilia Salach, director of the Gdańsk Zoological Garden.

For now, the young camel is on the circular (fenced part of the catwalk – editor's note) under the watchful eye of the mother. – Warsaw is an experienced mother. This is not the first offspring he is raising – she added.

Two -star camels inhabit Central Asia. They are considered juic animals. Adults reach up to 800 kilograms of mass.

“They can be observed from the first days”

The kapodziob family, i.e. birds, which are related to goose, also expanded, from which they are worse by the fact that they prefer to spend time on land.

– Two chicks have hatched, their gender is unknown so far. To determine it, genetic tests are needed, which we will carry out soon. These are the first young people of this species after a few years break, in addition the first couple – said Monika Dmochowska, head of the bird section. – Birds can be observed almost from the first days of their hatch, in their volume, in the northern part of the garden, in a series of prey birds – she added.

The management of the Gdańsk zoo reminds that opening hours have changed since April. During the ZOO week you can visit from 9am to 5pm, and in weekends and holidays until 7pm.
