The Georgian opposition announced that it would organize daily protests over the results of the parliamentary elections, which it does not recognize. Swedish activist Greta Thunberg was present at Monday's demonstration in the center of Tbilisi.
– We'll be on the street every day. There should be enough of us so that no one can enter here (into the parliament – ed.). But standing only on Rustaveli Avenue (where the parliament is located – ed.) is not enough, we should stand on all avenues, said Nika Melia, one of the opposition leaders. The politician added that opposition forces want to create “one strong protest movement that will overthrow the regime.” The Echo Kawkaza portal wrote that the opposition most likely plans to block the city's main transport arteries.
