The Chief Sanitary Inspector has issued a warning against new drugs that may contain unspoken and dangerous impurities. They can lead to serious intoxication and even death. In the biological material of the dead, a substance under the name N-ethylonorpentedron (NEP) was detected.
“New drugs may contain undeclared and dangerous pollution that increases the risk of serious poisoning and even deaths. Taking them to expose yourself to loss of health or life” – the main sanitary inspector wrote on your website.
The announcement also states that in 2024 several deaths were recorded. In the biological material of the dead, a substance under the name N-ethylonorpentedron (NEP) was detected. Deaths were associated only with NEP or in combination with other substances acting on the central nervous system.

GIS: Heart arrhythmias, changes in blood pressure
GIS explained that NEP is found in the form of white iridescent powder or lumps in white or light yellow. It is most often taken by the nose, on the way of a shoe inhalation or orally.
“NEP is a chemical compound from the group of synthetic Katynonons, drugs used for their stimulating effects. NEP taking can be a threat to human life or health as a consequence of strong toxic effects, in particular impaired the function of cardiovascular system (heart-impact disorders, blood pressure, direct cardotoxical changes), with boundary disorders) resulting in the loss of consciousness, including cardiac arrest ” – warned GIS.
NEP as a new psychoactive substance
GIS added that NEP after taking causes many adverse mental and cognitive effects characteristic of substances from the group of Katynonons: problems with associating names and places, lack of temporary orientation, irritability, hyperactivity, aggression, hallucinations, delusions and suicidal thoughts.
In the announcement, GIS pointed out that NEP in Polish law is classified as a new psychoactive substanceand.
“All activities related to new psychoactive substances, such as manufacturing, processing or processing without an appropriate permit, are subject to a fine, restriction or deprivation of liberty,” GIS noted.
