Golden Globes 2025 awarded. The big winner turned out to be the film “Emilia Pérez” by Jacques Audiard, which received awards in a total of four categories, including the best comedy/musical film. The best dramatic film was “The Brutalist”. Its creator – Brady Corbet – won the best director award, and Adrien Brody received the award for the leading male role in a film drama.
Golden Globes 2025 is behind us. For the first time in its history, the gala had a solo host – actress and comedian Nikki Glaser. However, the 82nd Golden Globe Awards ceremony will be remembered primarily for a very interesting and not necessarily obvious verdict – at least in film categories.
They shared the prizes in the most important categories “Brutalist” (Best Motion Picture Drama) Brady Corbet i “Emilia Pérez” (Best Comedy/Musical Film) Jacques Audiard. Audiard's latest work won the most awards overall, winning in four categories. Apart from the main one – best comedy/musical film – “Emilia Pérez” won in the best foreign language film category, Zoe Saldana was appreciated for the best supporting role in a film, and the song “El Mal” she sang was the best song (the Golden Globe went to her authors: Clément Ducol, Camille and Jacques Audiard).
American filmmaker Brady Corbet was awarded in the best director category, and Adrien Brody, who played the main role in “The Brutalist”, won the first Golden Globe statuette in his career (best actor in a drama film).
The star of Walter Salles' drama “I'm Still Here” – Fernanda Torres – beat out stiff competition in the best actress in a drama film category. Demi Moore won her first Golden Globe for her role in “Substance” (best actress in a comedy/musical). The best actor in a comedy was Sebastian Stan, who was appreciated for his role in “The Other Man”. Although the actor was also nominated this year for his role in “The Chosen One” (best actor in a drama film) – he was not mentioned as a favorite in either of these two categories.
The first “film” Golden Globe also went to Kieran Culkin, who played a phenomenal supporting role in “True Pain” by Jesse Eisenberg.
“Shogun”, “Hacks” and “Reindeer” – the best series
It was a bit easier to identify favorites in the television categories – especially in the case of drama series – where, as expected, the competition was outclassed by “Shogun”. Its creators received a total of four statuettes, including the best drama series. Anna Sawai and Hiroyuki Sanada were appreciated for their main roles, and Tadanobu Asano won the Golden Globe for best supporting actor in a television production.
The comedy series “Hacks” (produced by HBO/MAX, owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, also the owner of tvn24.pl) beat the competition in the best comedy/musical series category. Jean Smart, who plays the main role in it, received the Golden Globe for the second time in her career for best actress in a comedy series.

The best miniseries was “Reindeer”, and Jessica Gunning was awarded in the category of best supporting actress in a television production.
Colin Farrell, playing the main character of the miniseries “Penguin”, won in the category of best actor in a miniseries, and Jodie Foster for her role in “Detective: Nightland” was awarded the Golden Globe for best actress in a miniseries.
