A 31-year-old BMW driver has died, while a 34-year-old passenger has been taken to hospital following an accident in Góra Puławska (Lubelskie Province). The driver lost control of the car for reasons still unknown, left the road and hit a tree.
The accident occurred on Sunday (September 15) before 2 a.m. – Initial findings by Puławy police officers indicate that the driver of a BMW driving along Janowiecka Street in Góra Puławska on the bend of provincial road 743 suddenly lost control of the vehicle, then veered off the road, hit a tree and rolled over – said Senior Inspector Anna Kamola from the Lublin police.
The 31-year-old driver of the vehicle died at the scene of the accident. The 34-year-old man riding with him was transported to hospital.
By decision of the prosecutor, the body of the deceased man was secured for autopsy. The circumstances of the accident are being investigated by the police under the supervision of the prosecutor.
This accident occurred in an unlit and undeveloped area. – We appeal to you to be prudent and careful when driving. Let's adjust our speed and driving technique to the prevailing road conditions – said Senior Inspector Kamola.
