With a request, threat or control. – We see it. He caused some movement in vaccination clinics – admits Dr. Ilona Małecka, a pediatrician and vaccinologist. This is a side effect of great vaccination cards.

– This information has reached parents who supplement vaccinations, which we absolutely did not anticipate in this control, but this happens. We even get signals that there are queues for vaccination points – says Paweł Grzesiowski, chief sanitary inspector.

Since the beginning of April, in ten thousand clinics and clinics, sanitary inspectors have been reviewing 7.5 million vaccination cards. It is about accurate data on the vaccination of children on 13 diseases in 19 years. Over time, paper cards will be replaced by an electronic system.

– We entered the vaccination points, we count, we have to take each card in hand, review, note – says Paweł Gilewski, Greater Poland, the State Provincial Sanitary Inspector.

Now it turns out that before the inspectors – at the news of the inspection – the parents who had not previously vaccinated their children took over.

Parents more often forget about vaccinations than they are against

– In my opinion, the signals we have from control is that there is more forgetfulness, such as not acting vaccination as something very important than anti -vaccination views – indicates Paweł Grzesiowski.

Clinics are waiting for such forgetful parents. – We're very flexible. Everything whenever they want. We will make them an individual visit, we will build a special vaccination calendar for these children. Individual, because, of course, the one from the regulation ended – says Jacek Kidoń, a pediatrician from the Municipal Medical Center Karol Jonscher in Łódź.

It could also be that the child had a temporary contraindication to vaccination, when it was, for example, sick, or the parent fell out of the head that some vaccines did not end with one dose.

– In relation to certain vaccinations, they should be reminded, and there are either one or two or three doses resembling at a certain age. In order to extend the protection of the vaccine, and that the patient is really protected in the long run – says Ilona Małecka.

In the European Vaccination Week Who He reminds that today not only those who are unvaccinated, but also such undefted are the problem.

– Over the past 50 years, vaccinations have saved the lives of at least 154 million people, protecting us from over 30 infectious diseases that threaten life – notes Dr. Nino Bardzuli, director of the Office of the World Health Organization in Poland.
