On Saturday afternoon, two women were hit in the town of Karmin in Pleszew County (Greater Poland). As reported by junior inspector Andrzej Borowiak, press spokesman of the Police Headquarters in Poznań, the incident occurred around 4:46 p.m. near a school in this town. Initially, three people were reported to have been hit.

One of the hit women is dead. She's a 71-year-old woman. The injured woman is 61 years old.

The perpetrator fled the scene. – The police have already arrested the suspect. A 26-year-old man was arrested, initial examination showed 3.2 per mille of alcohol. He has an active driving ban, Borowiak said.
