At Kontakt24 we received information about an accident on the tracks in Grodzisk Mazowiecki. PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe confirms in announcements that there may be delays in train running.

“There was an accident at the Grodzisk Mazowiecki railway station. The trains are at a standstill. The fire brigade from Grodzisk Mazowiecki, the police and an ambulance are on site,” he wrote to the inbox Kontaktu24 reader.

“Grodzisk Mazowiecki. Accident involving a person on train 35104/5 (PKP INTERCITY Spółka Akcyjna) on the Zakopane – Gdynia Główna route. Change of platforms and train arrival/departure tracks. Train delays of up to approximately 15 minutes may occur. We apologize for the inconvenience,” PKP PLK reported .

600 passengers had to transfer

Aspirant Krzysztof Stefaniak from the fire brigade in Grodzisk Mazowiecki told us that the report about a man being hit by a train near the railway station was received by firefighters at 6:34 p.m. – Two teams from Grodzisk Mazowiecki were dispatched to the site. The police and the emergency medical team are also on site, the firefighter said. He added that the firefighters' actions included securing the scene of the incident and helping passengers get to the train. He also confirmed that it was about the Zakopane – Gdynia train. – There are difficulties in running trains towards Warsaw – he noted.

At 7:33 p.m. all passengers – 600 people – were already in the arranged train.
