Adrian Zandberg – candidate of the Together party for the President of the Republic of Poland – met on Friday afternoon with Andrzej Duda in the Presidential Palace. He said that the president's veto is needed to the act on the health premium.
After the meeting, Zandberg reported on a press briefing that the conversation concerned primarily the issue of health safety and threats related to the privatization of public health protection.
Zandberg: bad decisions forced by the government majority
– I presented to the President real threats that are associated with underfunding the National Health Fund and with bad decisions that have been forced by the current government, by the government Donald Tusk And which threatens that at the end of the year there will be no money for health services, for surgery, for treatments, for drug programs – said Zandberg, referring to the amendment to the Act recently adopted by the Sejm on reducing the health premium for entrepreneurs.
In his opinion, there is a threat to the privatization of health protection over Poland today. He added that the president's veto towards the amendment to the Act on a health premium is needed, “to keep this bad, harmful, dangerous for millions of Polish women and Poles, the process of changing public health protection into private protection.”
Earlier, the candidate of the Together for President announced that he did not go to Końskie on Friday to take part in the presidential debate organized there.

Changes in the health premium
At the beginning of April, the Sejm adopted an amendment to lowering the health premium for entrepreneurs. The amendment introduces a two -element basis for calculating the health premium for entrepreneurs – it will be a flat -rate to a certain level, and the surplus of income will be percentage. The flat -rate part of the premium will be 9 percent. from 75 percent minimum remuneration for work. The second part will be calculated from the surplus of income above 1.5 times the average monthly salary with entrepreneurs settling the tax scale or flat tax (4.9 % rate).
In the case of entrepreneurs settling a lump sum, the second part of the premium will be charged on a surplus of revenues above 3 times the average monthly salary (3.5 % rate). The project also assumes a reduction in the premium to 9 percent. with 75 percent minimum wage (currently there is 9 % of the minimum wage) for entrepreneurs paying tax in the form of a tax card. The Act repeals the possibility of settling the health contributions paid in income tax.
