During Tuesday's meeting of the Council of Ministers, the government adopted the draft bill on health insurance contributions – it was reported on the profile of Polski2050, which submitted the bill, on the X portal. It assumes a reduction in the minimum health insurance contribution in 2025.
On Tuesday Council of Ministers dealt with, among others, a self-amendment to the government project, which provides for a reduction in the minimum health insurance contribution in 2025 for entrepreneurs who pay tax on general terms, at a 19-percent linear rate, and for those who pay income tax on qualified intellectual property rights.
The health insurance contribution is to be 9%. from 75 percent minimum wage.
Avoiding the dramatic consequences of the Polish Order
– Today we will adopt decisions that will not only protect Polish – primarily micro, small and medium-sized entrepreneurs – from an increase in this contribution, but will also significantly reduce it compared to today's state of affairs – announced the Prime Minister during a press conference before the government meeting. He added that this action would avoid “the drama that would be a consequence of the so-called Polish Order”, i.e. increases in health insurance contributions from January 2025. – It is a compromise between what is currently possible financially and systemically and the obvious needs of entrepreneurs – he explained Donald Tusk.
