Investigation into the change of park borders
The investigation includes two threads. The first concerns the issuing by the Council of Ministers a regulation of December 10, 2021, under which three plots were excluded from the park borders on the Holy Hill with a total area of 1.34 ha. This decision could violate the Act on nature protection and act to the detriment of the public interest.
The second thread concerns the conclusion of the agreement in 2023 for use for use for 50 years to assemble the religious missionaries of the Oblates of the Immaculate Mary. The annual fee in the amount of 73.2 thous. PLN net could have been lower than the actual value of the property, which could also violate the regulations. Earlier, the Kielce-Wschód District Prosecutor's Office looked at the same agreement, which, however, in the second half of last year discontinued the proceedings. It was checked whether the Kielce staroste exceeded the rights, acting to the detriment of public benefit.
– The obtained evidence indicates that the formalities related to the procedure for returning the property in question in non -tender mode have been completed. We did not find the features of a criminal act-said in November the head of the Kielce-Wschód District Prosecutor's Office Edyta Pawlik-Zatońska.

Local governments have already agreed to this, but opposing the ministry's plans to enlarge the park by an additional 340 hectares of valuable areas. Dispute over plots on the Holy Cross
Until 1819, i.e. to the cassation of the monastery, the entire complex of buildings on the Holy Cross belonged to the Benedictines. Missionaries Oblaci Mary Immaculate from 1936 looked after the part of the buildings, including Basilica, and at the same time for years, they also tried to “reintegration of monastery buildings”, including the west wing of the monastery, where the Natural Museum runs the Świętokrzyskie National Park.
On February 2, 2022, a government ordinance from the borders of the Świętokrzyskie National Park of real estate with an area of 1.34 ha at the top of the Holy Cross entered into force. The decision was explained by the urbanization of plots and the lack of natural values. This caused the loss of perpetual usufruct of the area by the SPN, and the real estate became the property of the Treasury, represented by the Poviat Eldership in Kielce, ruled by PiS.
In 2023, the west wing of the monastery and the so -called The hospital was handed over to the paid use of the Mission missionary assembly of MN. The lease agreement, signed for 50 years, provides for an annual fee of approx. 73 thousand. PLN net, with the possibility of revaluation.
The decisions of the government of Mateusz Morawiecki and local authorities met with criticism of naturalists, scientists and the Supreme Audit Office, which recommended the return of plots to the park. The Committee for Environmental Biology and Evolutionary of the Polish Academy of Sciences warned that an enclave that does not subject to protective rigors inside the park could pose a serious threat to its functioning.
