On Thursday, the Government Security Center sent an alert to recipients staying in some districts of the province Lower Silesia.
“Attention! Today and at night (22/23.06) possible violent storms with hail and strong winds. Be careful and secure things that can be blown away by the wind” – it was written in the text messages sent to the following districts: Bolesławiecki, Dzierżoniowski, Jaworski, Jelenia GoraKamienna Góra, Karkonosze, Kłodzko, Lubań, Lwówek, Świdnica, WałbrzychWałbrzych, Ząbkowice, Zgorzelec and Złotoryja.
Experts have appealed to stay at home as much as possible, to secure things that can be blown away by the wind. Power outages are possible.
The forecasters of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management also warn against dangerous weather (IMGW). Level 1 and Level 2 alerts apply.
IMGW alerts of the second degree – thunderstorms with hail
Forecasters have issued orange warnings for thunderstorms with hail. It will be dangerous in the province Lower Silesiaand specifically in the counties of: Bolesławiec, Zgorzelec, Lubań, Lwówek, Złotoryja, Karkonosze, Jelenia Góra, Jawor, Świdnica, Wałbrzych, Wałbrzych, Dzierżoniów, Ząbkowice and Kłodzko.
Thunderstorms are forecast, which in some places will be accompanied by very heavy rainfall up to 30-50 l/sq m. and wind gusts up to 90 km/h. Hail will fall in places.
The warnings will be valid from 23 on Thursday until 5 on Friday.

IMGW alerts of the second degree – heat
Second-level IMGW alerts against heat are in force in voivodeships Lesser Poland (except southern poviats) i Subcarpathian.
Maximum temperatures are expected to range from 30 to 32 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature will be locally 18 degrees Celsius.
Alerts will be valid until 6 p.m. on Friday.

IMGW alerts against the heat, but those of a lower, first degree, were issued for voivodeships Lesser Poland and Silesian (in poviats located in the south of these regions), where they will be valid until 18 on Friday.
Thermometers will show between 30 and 32 degrees C during the day. The minimum temperature will drop to 17 degrees C.
IMGW alerts of the first degree – thunderstorms with hail
Level 1 alerts for thunderstorms with hail are also in effect. They were issued for the following provinces:
– Subcarpathian (in eastern poviats);
– Lublin (for southern counties);
– West Pomeranian (for southern counties);
– Greater Poland (except counties on the eastern borders);
– Lower Silesia (where higher level alarms do not apply);
– Silesian (except counties on the north-eastern edges);
– of Lodz (in counties in the south-west).
Thunderstorms are forecast in these regions, accompanied by heavy rainfall from 20 to 35 liters of water per square meter and wind gusts up to 75 kilometers per hour. Hail may occur in places.
In the eastern regions, the alerts will remain in effect until 12:00 p.m. 20 on Thursday.
In the rest of the country, they will come into force at 23 on Thursday or 3 and will expire at 6 or 10 on Friday.

What is an RCB Alert
RCB Alert is an SMS alert system against threats. You do not need to sign up for the RCB alert. People who find themselves in the area of a potential life-threatening crisis situation will receive a short text message (SMS) on their mobile phone with information on the type of threat along with the location, as well as the source of the alert. It doesn’t matter which operator we have a contract with.
The amendment to the Telecommunications Law and some other acts of June 11, 2018 requires all operators to immediately send a message to all users in the area specified by the RCB director. Messages are issued only in exceptional situations that may actually threaten human life and health.
What is a Level 1 weather warning?
The first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material damage and threat to health and life. Running a business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from activities in the area where the threat occurs, including delays caused by traffic obstructions, disruptions in the course of outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution recommended, the need to follow messages and weather developments.
What is a Level 2 Weather Alert?
According to the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, a first degree warning predicts the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena causing large material losses and a threat to health and life. Dangerous phenomena or the effects of their occurrence strongly limit the conduct of business. Expect disruptions in daily functioning. Great caution is recommended, the need to follow the messages and the development of the weather situation. Follow all instructions issued by the emergency services in an emergency. Adapt your plans to weather conditions.
