IMGW warns against storms, released first degree alarms. Phenomena will be a threat on Sunday in the south-eastern part of Poland. The unloading is to be accompanied by heavy rain. Check where to be careful.

Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued first degree warnings on a three -stage, growing scale.

First degree IMGW warnings – storms

First -degree alarms before storms concern the voivodships:

  • Lesser Polandpoviats: Gorlicki and Tatrzański;
  • Podkarpackiepoviats: Lubaczów, Jarosław, Leżajsk, Rzeszów, RzeszówŁańcut, Przemyśl, IndustryStrzyżowski, Jasielski, Krosno, LoomSanocki, Leski and Bieszczady.

Storms are to occur in these regions, which will be accompanied by heavy rainfall up to 20-30 liters per square meter and wind gusts up to 75 kilometers per hour.

Alarms will be valid usually between 11-19 on Sunday. The exception will be the Tatra poviat – here the warnings will apply from 10-15.

What is the first degree meteorological warning

According to the IMGW definition, the first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that can cause material losses and a threat to health and life. Conducting activities in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from conducting activities in the area of ​​threat, including delays caused by traffic difficulties, disturbances in outdoor events or the possibility of their dismissal. Recommended caution, the need to track messages and the development of the weather situation.
