Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued first-degree warnings on a three-level, increasing scale.
IMWM warnings – freezing precipitation
First degree alerts due to freezing rain causing black ice are in force in the following voivodeships:
- West Pomeranian Voivodeshipin eastern counties;
- Pomeranian;
- Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship;
- Podlasie;
- Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship;
- Greater Polandin northern counties;
- Masovian Voivodeship;
- Łódźin northern and eastern counties;
- Lublin Province;
- Podkarpackiein southern counties;
- Lesser Polandin southern counties.
The warnings will be valid until 9 a.m. on Monday.
IMWM warnings – strong wind
IMWM it also warns against strong winds. Yellow warnings were issued in the voivodeship Podkarpackie in the Bieszczady, Lesko, Sanok and Krosno counties, Krosno and Jasło and Gorlice poviats in the province. Lesser Poland.
The forecast is for winds with an average speed of up to 40 kilometers per hour, with gusts of up to 85 km/h, from the southwest and south. The warnings will be valid until 6 on Tuesday.

For Gorlice County The Government Security Center sent RCB alert. “Attention! Very strong winds are forecast for January 6 and 7. Be careful when exercising outdoors. Do not stay or park under trees,” the message reads.
