On Sunday he went to church and did not return home. The family reported the disappearance of the 68-year-old. The police found him on Tuesday in the forest, where – as it turned out – he spent over two days.

On Tuesday, policemen from the Kadzidło post near Ostrołęka received a notification regarding the disappearance of a 68-year-old resident of the Ostrołęka poviat. – The missing family reported that the man went to church last Sunday has not been in contact with him since then – explained Commissioner Tomasz Żerański from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Ostrołęka.

Policemen immediately started looking for a 68-year-old. – Many addresses and places where the missing could stay were checked. After a few minutes in local media, the police posted a description of the missing person. Policemen also created a return road plan from the church to his place of residence, checking each road – pointed out the commissioner Żerański.

He made a mistake

While checking the next road, just a few meters from the little -frequented path in the forest, the police noticed a man lying on the ground. – When they came closer they confirmed that it was missing. He said he was exhausted and he has no strength to even get up. He added that he confused the road and when he was dark, he decided that he would spend the night in the forest, covering himself with moss and leaves – described the spokesman for Ostrołęka policemen.

The officers gave the 68-year-old first aid and looked after him to come to the ambulance crew site.
