We reached the indictment in the case of Father Michał Olszewski and the Justice Fund
The editors of TVN24.pl and OKO.press reached the content of the first indictment in the case of the Justice Fund. The prosecutor's office on 370 pages describes how officials set up competitions and rewarded the organization indicated by Zbigniew Ziobra and Marcin Romanowski. Father Michał Olszewski, Father Michał Olszewski, devotes the most space. But why did she still interrogate Ziobra himself in this matter?
On February 4, 2025, the Investigative Team No. 2 of the National Prosecutor's Office sent to the District Court in Warsaw The first indictment in the case of the Justice Fund. There are six people accused:
- Father Michał Olszewski (we publish his name with the consent of the prosecutor's office), head of the Profeto Foundation;
- Urszula D., a clerk who managed the Department of the Justice Fund when the Profeto Foundation won the competition and as the boss accepted the competition documents, including signed the decision to grant a subsidy;
- Karolina K., former deputy head of the Department of Justice Fund and Urszula D.
- Marcin M., chief specialist in the Department of Justice Fund, member of the Commission in the competition in which the Profeto Foundation won. The role of Marcin M. was to check whether the foundation's application met the formal criteria of the competition;
- Wojciech Z., a specialist in the FS Department, also a member of the competition committee. Z. also checked the application of Profeto in formal terms;
- Monika G., who in 2022 took over the duties of the deputy director of the FS Department.
Most of the allegations in the above six concerns the subsidy, which the Ministry of Justice awarded the Profeto Foundation in 2020, which for almost PLN 100 million was to build and run a help center called the archipelago. We described most of the arrangements made by the prosecutor's office in joint journalistic investigations over 2024.
Interestingly, although the name of Zbigniew Ziobra appears in the case many times, he was not questioned in this investigation even as a witness. We asked the prosecutor's office why.

But not only the subsidy for Profeto is mentioned in the indictment. It also included irregularities in competitions in which the subsidies were won by the Institute of political Law Foundation, the Foundation of the Victim Aid and Prevention Center and the Lux Veritatis Foundation of Father Tadeusz Rydzyk.
