They made huge surprises at the start of the competition because they beat the favorites for the main prize. Legia Warszawa defeated Real Betis 1-0, in turn Jagiellonia Białystok won 2:1 against FC Copenhagen. The second round brought further victories – the capital club triumphed 3-0 against Baćka Topola, and the Polish champions 2-0 against Petrocub. And most importantly, in the third series of games, Polish clubs maintained this streak! This is great news for the UEFA rankings.

The difference between Poland and Israel is only one point, which means exactly two victories.
