The police remind that a bank fraudster most often calls his victim and gives false information about a virus attack on the account, from which all savings will soon disappear.
– For example, it asks you to download an application – most often it is a remote desktop management program that allows the fraudster to take control of your computer or phone. The criminal also issues subsequent commands, including logging in to the account and accepting codes and data for authorizing bank transactions – noted Asp. pcs. Długosz.
The police warn that you should never provide your online banking login details over the phone or install any applications at the request of a bank employee.
