The president of PiS, Jarosław Kaczyński, appeared several minutes late at the meeting of the parliamentary investigative committee on envelope elections. After taking the oath, he wanted to make a free statement. However, this request was rejected by the chairman of the committee, Dariusz Joński.

Kaczyński took the oath and asked to be allowed to speak freely. Chairman Dariusz Joński did not agree to this and dismissed the application. Kaczyński appealed against this decision, but the commission rejected the appeal in a vote.

Envelope elections

With Kaczyński's hearing on Friday, the commission is to finish questioning witnesses, but – as Dariusz Joński said – if necessary, the commission is ready to call further witnesses. The committee plans to present the final report by the end of May.

Ultimately elections took place on June 28 (first round). Voting was held at polling stations.
