In Smolensk there was an attack carried out by means of an explosion. This is beyond any discussion, said PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński. In this context, he was asked about the attitude of two politicians from his party who had recently avoided making a clear declaration on this issue. It's about Marcin Horała and Tobiasz Bocheński. – Perhaps they fell into some dependence on the very intense propaganda that was used then – he said. He assured that he would talk to them about this matter.
At Thursday's press conference, the president PIS Jarosław Kaczyński was asked whether, in connection with the information about the manipulations of the Smolensk subcommittee by Antoni Macierewicz, the money that was spent on its activities should be returned. – This case is about intimidating those who would like to find the truth, and this truth is undoubtedly an attack, and along the way – one could say – an explosion. In the sense that the attack was carried out by means of an explosion, Kaczyński said.
As he said, “it is beyond any discussion if anyone takes it seriously at all, and not to hide the truth, embarrassment and crime, because that's what it looks like at the moment.” – Of course, any such actions, if the government changes, will be subject to a very strict assessment from the point of view of the law of national interest. The law I am talking about is criminal law, he added.
Kaczyński about other PiS politicians: perhaps they have become dependent on propaganda
In this context, the TVP Info journalist asked about the attitude of other PiS politicians who “are not willing to admit that this attack actually took place.” She gave examples of statements by MP Marcin Horała and MEP Tobiasz Bocheński, who avoided a clear declaration on this issue.
– Well, that's interesting – replied the PiS president. – I can only say this. These are, of course, individual assessments. These are people who were not with us at the time it happened and may have become somewhat dependent on the very intense propaganda that was used then, he said.
– Someone separated these visits (in Smolensk – ed.). If it had been held together by the president and the prime minister, this tragedy would certainly not have occurred. There would have been no attack, he noted.
As he continued, “maybe it affects them somehow.” – Or perhaps, for other reasons, which I will not mention here, please excuse me, they use this type of tactic – he added.
– I'll talk to them about it. It's good that you told me that, Kaczyński concluded.
