– We yesterday with Jacek Harłukowicz, co -author of the texts on this subject in Onet, we talked with Mrs. Anna Kanigowska, who was a carer for Mr. Jerzy for a year, and she asked a fairly fundamental question, banal, but in essence crucial: why would Mr. Jerzy buy a municipal apartment from the city? What was it for? Only and only to sell this apartment or donated – he said.
According to Stankiewicz, “the sequence of subsequent events shows that it was about taking over this apartment.” – And it seems to me that there would be nothing wrong with it if not for a few elements. First of all, if Karol Nawrocki said at all that he had this apartment. Secondly, if there were not so many lies along the way – he pointed out.
“He wanted to be more normal than he is”
Stankiewicz was also asked about the reasons why Nawrocki in his opinion during the debate, in which he said that he had one apartment, passed the truth.
– First of all, many politicians believe that journalists are idiots. I often have to explain at the moment to politicians that their properties are not as safe as it seems. Because there are tools for searching land and mortgage registers by the names of their owners. If someone thinks that journalists do not have access to such tools, they are very wrong – he pointed out.
– Politicians live in the conviction that land and mortgage registers are a properly closed world. If you don't have a land and mortgage register number, nothing can be done. The button is true – Stankiewicz continued.
“In a word,” he didn't know it would come out. Secondly, he wanted to be more normal than he is. The best Pole is when you have one property. If you run from a party like PISWell, it's not right, (…). And he just overdo it. He stumbled, he slipped on a banana skin, and then went – said Onet's journalist.

At this point, Stankiewicz introduced the backstage of work on this matter and indicated what prompted him to look closer to the housing situation of Nawrocki.
– What caught our attention – we enter the land and mortgage registers on his name and there is no land and mortgage register on the latter property (…). In his case, he had one apartment bought on credit and the other with a pure mortgage. And this immediately aroused suspicions – he admitted.
