Karol Nawrocki's views – Katarzyna Lubnauer and Adam Jarubas comment. “He wants to be like the cat in the bag we have to buy”

Deputy Minister of Education Katarzyna Lubnauer (Civic Coalition) and MEP and vice-president of the Polish People's Party Adam Jarubas spoke in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24 about the upcoming presidential elections and the candidate put forward by PiS, the head of Institute of National Remembrance Karol Nawrocki.

Lubnauer drew attention to the situation related to him, which in her opinion was “reprehensible”. – We have a presidential candidate who, when asked what he thinks about Romanowski, (says that) he doesn't think anything – reminded the deputy minister.

In this way, she referred to Nawrocki's words on the subject PiS MP Marcin Romanowski, who, chased by an arrest warrant, escaped to Hungarian. – I don't think anything about the case of MP Marcin Romanowski – the candidate said in mid-December, answering journalists' questions. – This is not a matter that arouses my interest. This is the MP's issue and is part of the public debate, Nawrocki said then. As he said, “a candidate for the office of the President of the Republic of Poland does not deal with this type of matters.”

Lubnauer said that “Nawrocki doesn't want to go either way, because he wants to be like a cat in a bag that we have to buy.”

– So he doesn't think anything about any important topic, no one knows what his views are, but we have to buy him – she added.

Jarubas, however, assessed that “Karol Nawrocki may be a tool in the hands of President (Jarosław) Kaczyński.”

He also said that the current president Andrzej Duda “he has a lot on his conscience, but he managed to resist a few times in such key moments.” – However, I expect that Karol Nawrocki, rather in this revolutionary mode, will be Kaczyński's weapon if, God forbid, he manages to win the elections – he added.
