Katarzyna Kotula. The Sejm will vote on the vote of no confidence for the ministry after the PiS application

During the Parliamentary Meeting of the LGBT+ community equality team, at the beginning of January, Katarzyna Kotula said that for several months there has been a “green light” and “political decision” for a government project that would facilitate sex correction in documents. It was decided, however, that the topic would not be taken publicly until the end of the presidential campaign and until the end of the trial related to the Act on partnerships.

At the end of January, a vote of no confidence in Kotula was received. – In our opinion, Minister Katarzyna Kotula threatens children and adolescents. In a secretive way, he prepares a bill on gender reconciliation. This project – as it turned out – will be submitted to the Sejm only when the presidential election campaign ends – emphasized the head of the PiS club Mariusz Błaszczak, informing about the submitted application.

Earlier on Platform X wrote: “There is no consent to introduce regulations that will allow children to mutilate in the name of leftist ideology.”

– This is a row that PiS is trying to call. They submit an application for a law that is not there – commented Katarzyna Kotula. – We talked about it in terms of various work on laws on the rights of LGBT persons, but at the moment such work is absolutely not going on – she added.

On Wednesday evening, the Sejm Social Policy and Family Committee dealt with the application. There were 19 people with a negative opinion on the application submitted by PiS club deputies, 15 were against and one stopped.

– This conclusion is about the presidential election campaign in which your candidate (…) may have a good right sickle, but on average in polls. And this is the moment when PiS plays a harmonious card – said during the meeting of Minister Kotul.

They also indicated that Katarzyna Kotula “has no moral qualifications and competences necessary to act as the Minister for Equality.”

During the meeting of the Social Policy and Family Committee justifying PiS's request, MP Anna Milczanowska stated that “for over 400 days Minister Kotula did not prepare any changes that Poles would benefit”.

In response to these arguments, Kotula mentioned the effects of the work of its subordinate ministry: Preparation of draft law on partnerships and a law introducing partnerships and a questionnaire for estimating the risk of threat to the child's life or health, which on Wednesday was published in the Journal of Laws.

According to Katarzyna Kotula, her predecessors did not fulfill their tasks in the PiS government. – One of the proxies did not write any law, he never met anyone, did not conduct public consultations, even with representatives of sexual minorities. Everything was razed to the ground. And we are building it again today – said Kotula.
