In one of the plots in the municipality of Książ Wielkopolski (Greater Poland Voivodeship), two men skated a dog. As they claimed, the animal “was to bark too much”. A witness of the incident was a cyclist passing by. The man notified the police. The animal torturers were sent to temporary detention. One of them was previously listed for family bullying.

The incident occurred on Saturday, around 15. The duty officer of the Śrem headquarters was notified that in one of the villages in the municipality of Książ Wielkopolski a man had a dog.

– The notification came from a man who went with his son on a bicycle trip and passed by the property where the tragedy operated. A passing cyclist shouted so that the man stopped hitting the animal, but the torturer continued torture the grinding quadruped – said the subinsp. Ewa Kasińska, press officer of the Poviat Police Headquarters in Śrem.

According to policemen gathered by policemen from the criminal department, the dog killed two men. The owner of the animal, a 40-year-old resident of the Książ commune and his 58-year-old neighbor, whom a witness of the incident saw.

– Everything indicates that the 40-year-old owner of two dogs wanted to get rid of one of them, who allegedly had to “bark too much”. The 58-year-old neighbor of the 40-year-old accepted the proposal to kill the dog. Instead, he had the promised alcohol, which the torturers also consumed before the incident – informed the inspector. Kasińska.

She added that when the torturers tortured the dog, the second quadruped ran next to his owner and saw everything.

Policemen secured three tools for the case: ax, a shovel and a hoe. The materials of the case show that the dog was repeatedly hit by a hatchet and a hoe. However, the shovel was used to bury the dog. The men together cleaned the playpen so that there were no traces of blood and hair and buried a insolated dog in a nearby forest.

The men were sent to temporary detention

The men were detained on Sunday, and the next day they heard allegations of killing a dog over which they abused with particular cruelty.

It was also established that the 58-year-old was already recorded and punished for abuse of his family.

Yesterday, at the request of the Śrem police and prosecutor's office, the District Court in Śrem applied a preventive measure to suspects in the form of detention on remand.

– The matter is pending. Pursuant to the Animal Protection Act, who kills the animal, acting with particular cruelty, is subject to the penalty of imprisonment from 3 months to 5 years – emphasized the spokeswoman of the Śrem police.
