An unusual situation occurred on Thursday, October 3, in the center of Kutno. One of the residents recorded a deer running along Zamenhof Street towards Podrzeczna Street. The animal was running quite fast, just before the pedestrian crossing it slipped and turned right. The video shows a car passing by and residents standing nearby, observing the unusual situation.
Huge trauma for the deer
We asked a representative of the Łódź zoo to comment on the recording. – The network of highways and other expressways being built in Poland causes animals to wander and cannot follow their own path and enter the city. This is a huge trauma for such a deer. You can see in this video how he behaves – he is stressed and he is in great danger – traffic, people reacting inappropriately, which may scare him even more. In such cases, the appropriate services must be notified to catch the animal, comments Michał Sobczak from the Łódź zoo.

He adds that this is not an everyday situation in the city, but it may be happening more and more often. – That is why it is important not to interfere with the natural migration routes of animals, because they will often enter the city when lost, and this is a deadly threat to them – concluded Sobczak.
