The Ministry of National Education has published a new list of professions for which the demand on the Polish labor market is particularly expected. In 2025, the list debuted from the level of the post -secondary school: the guardian of the elderly and the guardian at the Nursing Home.
“The forecast of the demand for employees in industry education at the National and Provincial Labor Market” is an annual document published in the form of an announcement in the Polish Monitor. He was first announced in 2019.
The purpose of the forecast is to indicate in which direction the offer of industry education should develop depending on the needs of the domestic and voivodship labor market.
Competition sought after in 2025

He added that according to estimates in Poland in 2050, 32.7 percent The population will be persons over 65, which means that in the coming years “the demand for carers in nursing homes and carers of the elderly will increase significantly.”
New category in the competition list
In the provincial part, the forecast specifies the alphabetical list of professions with a particularly important, important or moderate demand on the provincial labor market. In 2025, the first time lists, in addition to competitions from the national part, also include one regional specialization.
These are technicians: agribusiness (Podlasie Voivodeship), interior design (Greater Poland Voivodeship), ship electro -communist (West Pomeranian Voivodeship), Electronics (Lesser Poland Voivodeship), Electronics and Medical Computer Science (Masovian Voivodeship), Aviation Mechanic (Podkarpackie Voivodeship ), Agriculture and agrotronics (Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship), underground operation of minerals other than hard coal (Lower Silesian Voivodeship), yacht industry (Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship), Fashion Industry (Łódź Voivodeship), broadband electronic communication (Silesian Voivodeship ), food technology (Opole Voivodeship) and technician of renewable energy equipment and systems (Lubuskie Voivodeship).
According to the amended provisions of educational law, local governments will receive an increased amount of educational needs for schools in the competition indicated in the 2025 forecast for 2026.
School schools and bodies can plan a competition that they will launch in the 2025/2026 school year. Decisions will take into account the diverse way of financing these professions: for schools educating in the national list and in professions with a particularly important demand from the provincial list – increasing educational needs for a student by approx. PLN 1,900 and PLN 2570 higher by PLN 2570 funding for employers to educate the costs of education of young employees in professions from the national list and in competitions with a particularly important demand from the provincial list.
