Two people injured in an incident at the airport in Leszno – this is the initial information. It is known that paramedics appeared on the airport tarmac, who provided assistance to two paratroopers. As established by the portal tvn24.pl, the incident occurred during soldiers' exercises. The injured are being transported to hospitals in Poznań.
The spokeswoman for the police in Leszno, Sub-inspector Monika Żymełka, reported that during an exercise at the airport in Leszno, there was an incident involving two parachutists. Both sustained injuries. Two LPR helicopters were called to the scene.
As the TVN24 reporter learned, two injured men are being transported to hospitals in Poznań. They have spinal injuries. Zuzanna Pankros, spokeswoman for the J. Struś Hospital in Poznań, said that one of the injured parachutists will be transported to their hospital with a suspected pelvic fracture and spinal injury. The young man is conscious, and tests will be performed upon arrival at the hospital. It is not yet known which facility the second injured man will be taken to.
