On the World Day of the Sick, we ask what he is suffering from health care. What do patients need, what works wrong and what needs to be done so that you can treat yourself effectively and get sick with dignity? It would be good for the answers to the ears of decision -makers.

Immediately at the very beginning we find a very suffering patient who, unfortunately, has not the best experience with health care.

– I already had 24 operations and I don't want to talk to doctors anymore – says the patient. Such bitter opinions, unfortunately, are not uncommon, although for a year and a half has the quality of quality in health care, which was to increase the level of treatment.

– From what I hear, it would be nice if there were no queues – says one of the passers -by asked about what he would change in health care.

Queues actually bother us – both to doctors and those for tests. – That the patient would be quickly diagnosed, treated quickly so that he would not have to wait a year or two – indicates another interlocutor. – Shorter queues, short queues to get to the doctor faster – echo another.

Who is responsible for long queues to specialists?

Recently, we reported that queues for oncological tests do not shorten. To non -oncological, moreover, they even extend. It's hard to get to specialist doctors. – The worst probably for an endocrinologist – indicates our interlocutor.

Not once in TVN's “Facts” we showed the fight of patients to sign up for an endocrinologist. Who is to blame for this for years to queue? The Ministry of Health and politicians, because they are wrongly reforming the system, and the National Health Fund, which limits benefits. According to patients, this is the main source of all evil.

– It used to be that the doctor accepted not 10 people during the day, but he was until the queue was over. Then the queues ended – recalls our interlocutor.

Patients are also often guilty because they do not cancel visits and do not appear at them. – I would like patients to cancel visits if they do not use them, because I know that there are a lot of people in need – indicates our interlocutor.

In addition, the problem is expensive, often unrefused medicines – especially modern, innovative ones. It is no wonder then that this poorly organized, inefficient health care system at times, patients would most likely celebrate a wide arc. So what to do to avoid it? The answer is very simple, but how current: you should live healthy and safe.

– I stopped skating, stopped skiing so as not to break, I have such fears – says our interlocutor.

Anxiety and dissatisfaction come from chronically underinvestment health care. According to OECD data and the European Commission, Poland allocates less than 6.5 percent of GDP to health care. It's almost twice as less than Germany.
