The dismissal of Artur Olech from the position of the President of PZU is in line with the point of view of the Minister of State Asset – the Department of Map Communication. He added that the minister expects the acting president of Andrzej Klesyk a thorough analysis of the work of members of the PZU board.
“The Supervisory Board made a decision regarding the President of the Management Board of PZU, but it is obvious that it is in line with the point of view of the Minister of State Asset,” wrote the MAP Communication Department in the sent statement.
“The minister expects the acting president of PZU Andrzej Klesyk the accurate analysis of the work of all members of the board, and from the supervisory board of the efficient process of election of a new president” – added.
Changes at the PZU Summit
On Monday, the supervisory board of PZU delegated a member of the supervisory board of Andrzej Klesyk to perform the activities of the President of the Management Board of PZU. From the composition of the Management Board The current president Artur Olech was dismissed.
Klesyk was delegated to temporarily perform activities until the appointment of the President of the Management Board, but for a period not longer than three months.
The resolution on the appeal does not contain information about the reasons for the appeal and entered into force when it was taken.
In March 2024, the PZU supervisory board entrusted Artur Olech to the function of president, provided that the agreement was obtained.
In July 2024, the Polish Financial Supervision Authority agreed to the appointment of Olech as the president of PZU.
Last week, the Extraordinary General Meeting of PZU appointed Andrzej Klesyk as a member of the company's supervisory board. Klesyk from December 2007 to December 2015 was the president of PZU SA.
