Marianna Stuhr never felt drawn to the film industry – she did not follow in the footsteps of her father and brother, who is seven years older. She took up art, which became her way of life. She graduated from the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. She later obtained a Ph.D. from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Marianna has not decided to pursue a career in acting. – I am not drawn to the stage. I have never been drawn to it – she said in an interview with Ewa Drzyzga and Krzysztof Skorzyński. The artist lives in Germany. Marianna left there because of her husband's work. No one outside the country knows her name, where in Poland it is very characteristic and recognizable. – Years ago, I think my name was a burden on me personally to be able to position myself somehow. Now, the starting point for me is completely different, because I am able to develop professionally both in Poland and abroad – she revealed in an interview in “Dzień dobry TVN“. Skórzyński asked about this issue. – I was afraid of being accused of taking advantage of my name. My brother seems to be coping very well with it. You could say he had it even harder because he does the same job, she said.

During the conversation, the journalists also touched upon the topic of death. Jerzy Stuhr, who passed away in July this year. – This feeling is strange, difficult. The feeling of physical absence in me. This is a process that evolves, it changes. There were big emotions when dad left. The last time of his illness was very difficult. Now, when these most difficult moments are behind us, we have to face the physical absence of someone in our lives. Someone who was not right next to us all the time, but was a big backbone for me – very important – she confessed. She also revealed that the difficult event brought her closer to her brother, Maciej Stuhr. They went on vacation together to take a break from their busy lives. “We managed to find a moment of peace,” she concluded.
