– We, Poles, in view of unfortunately such a divided Europe, really need Donald Trump. We, Poles, cannot afford a conflict with the American presidency – said Michał Kamiński (PSL), deputy speaker of the Senate, in “Fakty po Faktach”. He also recalled Donald Tusk's unfavorable words about Trump. – I am very afraid of the question that Law and Justice may ask in the second round of the presidential elections: can Poland afford the president and prime minister to be at odds with the United States? – he said.

Deputy Speaker of the Senate Michał Kamiński (Polish People's Party) spoke in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24 about the consequences of taking office President of the United States By Donald Trump and about our relationship with the new American leader. – We, Poles, in view of unfortunately such a divided Europe, really need Donald Trump. We, Poles, cannot afford a conflict with the American presidency, he said.

– And today's speech Donald Tusk (during the inauguration of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council – ed.) was good because, I hope, it is also an attempt to explain Tusk's unfortunate statement about Trump and the Russian agent. Because this is a statement that will make these relations very difficult – and we can see this today – he commented.

At the pre-election meeting in Bytom in March 2023, Tusk said that “Trump and his dependence on the Russian services are no longer subject to discussion today” – This is not my assumption, this is the result of an investigation by the American services. The American services do not rule out that Trump was recruited by the Russian services 30 years ago, he said then.

“We must do everything not to give PiS an argument”

– I'm very afraid of the question Law and Justice may ask in the second round of the presidential elections: can Poland afford the president and prime minister to be at odds with the United States? We, as a government coalition, must do everything not to give PiS the argument that they are Trump's better friends, Kamiński emphasized. He added that “today we don't know yet what it means, how Americans will get involved in the presidential campaign in Poland.”

When asked if he meant to say that PiS has better relations with Trump than the current government coalition, he replied that “unfortunately, yes.” – Jarosław Kaczyński he did not call Donald Trump a Russian agent, he added.

As he said, “of course you can count on the fact that Donald Trump is an unforgettable man and so on, but this is not the case.” – Because he is an unforgiving person, so we have to solve it somehow, simply – he said.

“I don't like them both. Boom! I said it! Two friends less.”

Kamiński was also asked whether he liked the leader's Poland 2050 campaign more Szymon Hołowniaor the candidate of the Civic Coalition Rafał Trzaskowski. – Honestly? I don't like both of them. Boom! I said! Two less friends, he replied. He also noted that he would “with full confidence” vote for Hołownia in the first round.

When asked why he did not like the campaign of the Speaker of the Sejm, he replied that “he doesn't see him enough.” – This is my problem with Szymon Hołownia. I don't see enough of the message that Poland needs today, he added, pointing to matters related to relations with USA and war in Ukraine.
