Szymon Hołownia and I did not take part in any classes, we did not have any credits, we did not start writing any diploma theses, especially we do not have any diplomas, therefore I do not know anything about what the rector could have produced – he said in “Rozmowa Piaseckiego ” on TVN24 Polish MEP 2050 Michał Kobosko. He referred to reports regarding studies at Collegium Humanum. He admitted that he met the then rector and “he was the one who offered to study at this university.” He said he met him several times.
“Did Szymon Hołownia study at Collegium Humanum? Former employees claim that he was on the student list, but he did not come to classes,” Renata Kim wrote in a Newsweek article at the end of November. Hołownia, denying the newspaper's reports, stated that he had applied for admission to studies, but had not accepted them.
He also referred to reports that the negotiations related to free studies were to be led by Michał Kobosko, currently an MEP from Poland 2050. – I never talked to Michał Kobosko about any studies being free of charge. He actually helped me get these documents to the university, because that's how it happened. I've never been there. I guess he also had plans to study there. We found ourselves in an identical situation. He did not undertake these studies either – explained Hołownia.

Kobosko: it wasn't like I was persuading Hołownia
On Thursday, Kobosko was asked in “Piasecki's Rozmowa” on TVN24 whether he would “take responsibility for persuading Hołownia to participate in these studies.”
“I can take any responsibility,” he replied. – We talked about it. It wasn't like I sat and talked for hours (Hołownia-ed.) – he noted.
– We are four years after the presidential campaign, Szymon Hołownia took third place (in the elections – editor) (…) In the 2020 campaign, a very frequently raised topic, critical towards Szymon Hołownia, was the fact that he did not have completed higher education. So it's natural that we talked about what we could do with this item, he mentioned.
The host of the program, Konrad Piasecki, noted that then “Kobosko becomes the leader of Poland 2050, it is also known that Szymon Hołownia will be an absolutely key person for the functioning of Poland 2050”, which means that both will be busy. – Do you really come up with the idea that you will go to classes, get credits, take exams and graduate? In this state of affairs? – he asked.
– We must remember that we are talking about the year 2020. Already then, Szymon Hołownia announced that he would run in the (next-ed.) presidential elections, so it was a project not for five minutes, not for ten, it was to be a project of spreading out studies, As usual, the studies are spread over time so that he can show such education before the 2025 presidential campaign – argued Kobosko.
Kobosko: I met the then rector several times
He was asked whether the then rector of Collegium Humanum persuaded him to study.
– I met the rector and he offered me to study at this university – he said.
– I was expecting, and Szymon Hołownia was expecting studies. There was no way to get a diploma without studying. We wanted to have studies, not MBA studies (…) He wanted to finish studies in psychology, a field he had started earlier. I was supposed to study international relations, diplomacy, I don't remember what it was generally called. We wanted to finish our studies in a godly way – said Kobosko.
He said that “today we know that it was an enterprise that was actually intended to steal and find hooks, including for politicians.”
– And if the rector tells the truth in his testimony in the prosecutor's office, what will he say about your relations? – Piasecki asked. – If he told the truth, he would say that he met me several times and that it was always at the university, said Kobosko.
– Then he spread a vision of the development of this university, he also talked about many politicians from various sides of the political scene who study there and that he has great development plans here and believes that the diploma of his university will only gain in prestige over time – he added.
Kobosko: brushing against this university was unnecessary
He was also asked whether he could accept the idea that his and Hołownia's diplomas were already lying somewhere in the Collegium Humanum.
– Unfortunately, after hearing and seeing what is published, I have to accept everything. I also have to allow for a scenario in which the rector falsified student documentation, because it was as if he had us in his hands and could do anything, he said.
He emphasized: – We did not take part in any classes, we did not have any credits, we did not start writing any diploma theses, especially we do not have any diplomas, therefore I do not know anything about it, what could be there, what the rector could produce.
– Today I'm thinking about the fact that, as someone put it, brushing against this university, because that's how I perceive my relationships, was unnecessary, and it was especially unnecessary that I didn't complete the removal procedure, and you can say the same about Mr. Marshal, but I'm talking about in my name, from the list of students, because it seemed quite natural to me that I would be crossed off, because this is the case at so-called normal universities, that if you neither pay for your studies nor take part in classes, in short, you do not fulfill your obligations student, it takes a few months and you are dismissed – he said.
– Here it turned out that the rector needed us. And today we find out what it really is for – he added.
The Collegium Humanum case
The scandal surrounding the Collegium Humanum broke out in March. The university offered fast MBA courses and other programs that made it easier to obtain diplomas, often used for promotion in the structures of State Treasury companies. Some of these diplomas were issued without an appropriate educational process, and their credibility was to be ensured by cooperating foreign universities, which in fact had no authority to do so. From February CBA detained 28 people and a total of 150 charges were brought against them.
