Military plans “Wisła”. Mariusz Błaszczak submitted a notification to prosecutor Marcin Maksan, who informed about his case

The head of the PiS club Mariusz Błaszczak announced on Thursday that he submitted a notification in the prosecutor's office about the possibility of committing a crime by military prosecutor Marcin Maksjan. He informed in March after the interrogation of Błaszczak about the accusations for him. They were related to the declassification of part of the “Warta” Armed Forces plan.

Prosecutor, lieutenant colonel Marcin Maksjan informed after the interrogation of Błaszczakthat he heard allegations, among others exceeding the rights due to the declassification of the part of the “Warta” armed forces plan and that he is punishable by imprisonment from a year to 10 years. Blaszczak pleaded not guilty.

Blaszczak made a notification

On Thursday, during the conference before the National Prosecutor's Office, Blaszczak announced that he had made a notification about the possibility of committing a crime by prosecutor Maksyjan. – This is the same prosecutor who made me accusing me of declassification and then disclosure of the compromising government Donald Tusk materials regarding the possibility of giving almost half the territory of our country under the Russian occupation, provided that there would be a war – said Blaszczak.

According to him, Prosecutor Maksjan during a conversation with journalists “he could commit a crime that he used the comments that could lead to the disclosure of classified information, and thus could break the clause of the closedness of materials.”

The head of the PiS club said that the military prosecutor “is an example of a prosecutor who can be a pattern of bias.” “The rulers want political matters to be dealt with by particularly selected prosecutors,” he said.

As the former head of the Ministry of National Defense said, Maksyjan presented himself as a repressed by the PiS government. – This was the basis for submitting an application to exclude the Lieutenant Colonel Maksjan from these activities (hearing Błaszczak – editor's note). This conclusion has not been accepted positively by the superior Lieutenant Colonel Maksyjan – he reported.

“How did Mr. Maksjan have this knowledge? Who allowed him to inform the public?”

Participating in the conference next to Błaszczak PiS MP Andrzej Śliwka recalled the words that Maksjan said at the March conference. The prosecutor said then: – The minister revealed the fifth stage of the fourth phase of defense, and there were six of these phases. The units of the Polish Army were to be used from the first phase.

He added that “it wasn't like we were to start defense only in the fourth phase.” In his opinion, a fragment was specially found in the entire extensive plan to confirm the thesis about the defense on the Vistula line.

After mentioning this statement, Śliwka said: – How did Mr. Maksjan have this knowledge? Who allowed him to inform the public? Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak, in accordance with the law, was entitled to declassify some of the archival plans, but only some of the plans. And he was entitled to this, in accordance with the Act on classified information. Mr. Maksjan was entitled to this? The button was not entitled to this. He had no competence for this. He went to a press conference and in a way, you can say, incompetent, in such a way completely devoid of any reflection, he began to sell secret information.

Blaszczak's lawyer announced that he would submit a re -application to exclude prosecutor Maksjan from the case of the former head of the Ministry of National Defense.

Blaszczak revealed the military plan “Warta”

The case concerns the declassification and then public disclosure in September 2023 by Błaszczak in part of the document of the Plan of the use of the Polish Armed Forces “Warta”. Referring to this document, he accused PO politicians that at the time of their rule they planned in the event of an invasion of the state defense on the Vistula line and “devoting half of the country to the attacker.” On July 17, 2024, the head of SKW, General Jarosław Stróżyk, submitted a notification in the prosecutor's office about the suspicion of committing a crime by the former head of the Ministry of National Defense.

According to the Blaszczak prosecutor's office, “when deciding to lift the secrecy clause on the operational planning documents, the Plan of the use of the Polish Armed Forces (…) 'acted in violation of the law, because – despite the fact that they were in the Military Historical Office – the statutory premises for the protection of the classified information contained in them did not cease.” At the request of the prosecutor's office, the Sejm agreed to pull Błaszczak to criminal liability – on March 6 he repealed the PiS MP Immunitet.

The former head of the Ministry of National Defense, leaving the prosecutor's office at the end of March, confirmed that he had heard allegations regarding declassification in 2023.
