Mirosława Marcheluk, a film and theater actress, known, among others, for her role as Her Excellency's Advisor in “Seksmisja” directed by Juliusz Machulski, has died. She was the director of the New Theater in Łódź and a lecturer at the Film School in Łódź.
The Film Polski portal announced the death of Mirosława Marcheluk on its Facebook profile on Tuesday. “Mirosława Marcheluk, an excellent actress, graduate of the National Film School in Łódź and a long-time lecturer at the Film School's Acting Department, director of the New Theater in Łódź, has died,” we read in the published post.
The actress died on January 7 at the age of 86, her death was confirmed by her husband Ryszard Mróz in an interview with Radio Łódź.
Mirosława Marcheluk is dead
Mirosława Marcheluk was born on March 11, 1939 in Białystok. In 1960, she graduated from the State Higher School of Film, Television and Theater. Leon Schiller in Łódź. Already in 1958, she made her debut on screen (although uncredited) with the role of a wedding guest in the film “Wedding Night” alongside, among others, Ignacy Gogolewski, Mieczysław Voit and Leonard Pietraszak. From 1960 to 1962, she performed on the stage of the Opole Land Theater, and later was associated with theater scenes in Łódź. In total, she played over a hundred roles in theater and Television Theater. According to Film Polski, in 1981 Mirosława Marcheluk was in the cast of Filip Bajon's “Pendulum” and “created a memorable role of Aniela, the main character's sister. This role was awarded the Award for a female role at the Polish Feature Film Festival in Gdańsk.” The actress played in several other films by Filip Bajon, including: in “The Magnate” (1986) and “The Ball at the Koluszki Station” (1989), as well as in “The Master” by Juliusz Machulski and “Hero of the Year” by Feliks Falk, “Niedzielne igraszki” by Robert Gliński, and “Pokuszenie” directed by Barbara Sass . She also appeared in TV series (“Escape from Beloved Places”, “Comedian”, “Chancellor”). She last appeared on screen in one of the episodes of the series “Belfer III”. She was also remembered by viewers for her role as Her Excellency's Advisor in the film “Seksmission” by Juliusz Machulski. In the years 1990–1993 and 2008–2010 she was the director of the New Theater in Łódź. She also lectured at the Acting Department of the Łódź Film School, as well as at the Łódź Academy of Humanities and Economics and the Higher Theological Seminary in Łódź.
