The Malaysian retail chain MR DIY enters Poland. The first store was opened “quietly” on November 15 in Zabrze, and by the end of this year the company will also open branches in Kraków and Piotrków Trybunalski. The brand is scheduled to come to Warsaw in early spring.
Magdalena Nazarewicz, Business Development Director at MR.DIY Poland, informed the business editorial office of tvn24.pl that on Friday, November 15, the chain opened a store in Zabrze (in the Platan Shopping Center).
“It happened quietly, without any official announcement, to give our employees time and space to get to know their new workplace and check whether everything is working properly. This is a practice that the MR.DIY brand uses all over the world,” she emphasized. .
The grand opening of this store will take place next Saturday, November 23.
Three stores by the end of the year
The company plans to end 2024 with three MR.DIY stores in Poland.
“We will open the second MR.DIY store in Galeria Bronowice in Krakow. The so-called soft opening will take place on Friday, November 22, and the official grand opening a week later – on November 30. We will launch the last MR.DIY store this year in Piotrków Trybunalski just before Christmas. (Focus Mall),” Nazarewicz said.
She added that the MR.DIY brand will come to Warsaw in early spring. “Details regarding subsequent openings will be announced successively,” she noted.
