A resident of the Pokrzywnica commune (Masovian Voivodeship) reported to the District Police Headquarters in Pułtusk and said that someone had broken into her basement and stolen jars of preserves. The officers detained a 57-year-old man and found some of the loot. He faces up to 10 years in prison for burglary.
Last Sunday, an unknown perpetrator, after damaging the padlock, broke into the basement of one of the properties. Preserves were stored in jars in the basement. His loot included six bottles of raspberry juice and 16 jars with various types of preserves.
He has already consumed some of it
– After receiving information about the theft, police officers from the criminal department went to the spot. They also identified a person who could have broken into the basement and stolen the preserves. The officers detained a 57-year-old man and found some of the preserves. The man had already consumed some. The owner put labels on the jars, so they were very easy to recognize, said junior officer Magdalena Bielińska from the Pułtusk police station.
A 57-year-old food lover was detained and taken to the police station. He faces up to 10 years in prison for burglary.
