Five Audi A6 limousines with four-wheel drive are initially to be delivered to the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy, and four to the Ministry of National Education. Each of them is worth PLN 300,000. zloty. It is the result of the tender from February titled “Long-term car rental for a period of 24 months for state administration units”, under which 77 machines are to be delivered to 24 institutions. Not only to ministries, but also, among others, the Central Statistical Office, the Patent Office or the Document Personalization Center of the Ministry of Interior and Administration – it says “Republic”. The tender decision was made in July, the total value is expected to be slightly over PLN 9 million.

A controversial tender. The then opposition had previously criticized PiS

The new cars were divided into 11 categories – from passenger cars and delivery cars, through limousines, to vans. Some of them are electric cars. It should be mentioned that in mid-2022, the Government Administration Service Center announced a tender for the lease of 89 machines for 18 institutions. It was supposed to last 36 months, which means the cars should still be in use. “At the same time, COAR was conducting large orders for the purchase of cars, e.g. in the fall of 2022, it was looking for suppliers of 155 cars. During the PiS government, purchases and rental of limousines were criticized by the then opposition,” emphasizes “Rz”. Now the situation has changed. After the announcement of the latest tender in February, PiS criticized the government, accusing them of hypocrisy. To which the current government replied that it was implementing the tender planned by Law and Justice.

Audi reigns supreme. But there are also electric cars

It turns out that the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy and the Ministry of National Education are not the only institutions that will receive Audi A6 models. “Another such car, but not with a gasoline engine but with a plug-in hybrid drive, will be received by the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products,” we read. Another rental model is the Audi A4. 10 such vehicles in the so-called The soft hybrid was ordered by the Ministry of Finance, 6 by the Ministry of Science, 4 by the Ministry of State Assets, 2 each by the Ministry of Sport and the Public Procurement Office, and 1 each by the Energy Regulatory Office, the National Atomic Energy Agency and the Ministry of Funds. The government administration will also receive several models of electric cars: Renault Megane E-Tech, Peugeot E-Rifter, Volkswagen ID.4, Peugeot Expert and Mercedes eSprinter. According to the provisions of the Electromobility Act, from January 1, 2026, half of the fleet of supreme and central administration bodies is to be electric cars. In addition, the government also purchases hybrid Toyota Corolla and Camry, as well as Renault Traffic combustion vans.
