“This is a deeply moving moment for the community of the Catholic Church and for the whole world. Leon XIV” and added a recording in which he said that “at the moment the whole community of the Catholic Church, joining in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit for light, strength and wisdom for the new Holy Father.”

Rafał Trzaskowski, starting to the office of the President of the Republic of Poland, also commented on the election of a new pope.
