Orchids grow there

The Puszcza Słupecka reserve was created in 1993. It is located in the commune of Nieporęt, in the Legionowo poviat. It covers an area of 160.56 ha. It is a forest reserve, partly available for tourist traffic.

As the Drewnica Forest District emphasized, it is a valuable natural area. “The purpose of its protection is to preserve forest communities, including ripple, hornbeam and forests, which are the habitat of many protected, rare and threatened with extinction of plant species, such as Wawrzynek Wilczełyko or several species of orchids” – emphasized.

It has been added that such areas require special protection and supervision, because ill -considered actions can negatively affect the preservation of the natural nature of the reserve.
