NIK inspected the fusion of Orlen with Lotos. Comments of politicians

The merger of Orlen and Lotos had no economic justification – said the president of NIK Marian Banaś, presenting the Chamber's report on this matter. The conclusions contained in the document were commented on by politicians. – Already a very short way to make there allegations – said Left MP Tomasz Trela. MEP PO Michał Szczerba “noticing the NIK caution”, and PiS MP Zbigniew Kuźmiuk believes that “the state of the Treasury costs as much as the buyers want to pay.”

Supreme Audit Office On Tuesday, she presented the results of the control of the Orlen connection with the Lotos group. The report shows that the sale of assets as part of the merger of Orlen with Lotos by PLN 5 billion below the value of their valuation was the “mismanagement of the board”, which “harms the interests of the Polish economy.”

– The connection had no economic justification – said the president of the Supreme Audit Office Marian Banaś during a press conference.

Trela: A very short way to the charges

Left MP Tomasz Trela ​​assessed that “the matter is very serious, multi -threaded and very complex.” – Orlen is the largest company with the participation of the Treasury in this part of Europe. I am not surprised by the prosecutor's office that he wants to verify everything very carefully and check in order to be able to make allegations that will later be equivalent to the act of accusations – said Trela.

– I can make a lot of accusations today and there will be an indictment, because we know that Obajtek implemented Kaczyński's instructions, selling national property, this was the interest of Law and Justice. They made a private farm from Orlen. There is already a very short way to make there allegations, but it must take, because everything needs to be verified and check very carefully – added the politician.

Szczerba: We will be in this matter in the NIK

MEP Civic Platform Michał Szczerba, in turn, said that “he sees great caution of the Supreme Audit Office.” – This was the case with RARS, where we with the MP (Dariusz) we showed who stood behind a given contract, and the controllers simply stated that a company got something and what he earned – he said.

– We will also be in this matter in this matter. (…) We see one thing – those advisory companies that did orders (valuations – ed.), At the moment, they massively accept writers, people associated with Morawiecki to their office, where they will receive gigantic salaries, certainly much higher than those specified by their competences – said Szczerba.

Kuźmiuk: The market decides about prices

The merger occurred when the president of Orlen was Daniel Obajtek – today the MEP of Law and Justice. – We do not know if there was underestimation (the value of sales of selected assets of the Lotos and Orlen group – ed.). Experts of well -known international companies worked – he said PiS MP Zbigniew Kuźmiuk.
