Investigators revealed that the son of Norwegian Princess Mette-Marit from her first marriage, suspected by the police in this country of two cases of rape, tried to destroy the evidence against him. Police say the suspect tried to delete incriminating material from the cloud and his phone.

For months, the Norwegian media have been following the scandals caused by the 27-year-old's behavior and the acquaintances and company he keeps. The magazine “Se og Hor” reported that Berg Høiby, who lived in the residence of the heir to the Norwegian throne, Prince Haakon, hosted representatives of the criminal world, and his guests were involved in the disappearance of tableware and valuable pieces of equipment.

Marius Berg Høiby is the son of Princess Mette-Marit from one of her previous relationships. Formally it does not belong to royal familybut Prince Haakon and his wife raised him together with their common children – Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus.

The crimes he is suspected of are punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
