The driver who hit a woman on a pedestrian crossing a month ago in Ołtarzew near Warsaw is in the hands of the police. He reported to the police station in the presence of a lawyer. He pleaded guilty to the charges brought against him.

As we reported on tvnwarszawa.pl, the loss occurred on December 5 last year on Poznańska Street in Ołtarzew (western Warsaw district). – A woman was hit on a marked, illuminated pedestrian crossing without signals. She was transported to hospital in a serious condition. The perpetrator of this incident escaped – described then by sub-inspector Ewelina Gromek-Oćwieja from the District Police Headquarters for the Warsaw district.

A month later, the Warsaw Police Headquarters announced that “police officers performed a number of procedural and operational activities aimed at determining the driver's identity and places where he may be hiding.” “It was also extremely important to determine the place where the car driven by the 32-year-old was abandoned,” KSP said in a statement published on the X website on Tuesday.

Eventually, the suspect came to the police station. “This morning, a 32-year-old man, in the presence of his lawyer, reported himself to the police. The damaged vehicle was found in one of the unguarded parking lots in the Ursynów district of Warsaw,” KSP reported.

He pleaded guilty to the charges

“The suspect has already been charged and the man confessed to committing them. Tomorrow, the police will submit an application for the temporary arrest of the 32-year-old to the District Prosecutor's Office in Pruszków,” the capital police concluded.
