Opoczno. Police chase. The car was roofing, a 16-year-old was sought after in the trunk

The incident occurred on March 2 in Opoczno. Around 2pm the police duty officer received a notification that on one of the streets, two young men struck glass in parked cars. A police patrol was sent to the place, at the sight of which the perpetrators got into their car and drove away, heading towards the city center.

As aspirant Agnieszka Januszewska-Kalużna from the Police in Opoczno reports, the officers started chasing the driver who disregarded the signals they gave to stop. – The escape ended with rolling in one of the sub -woven towns on the forest road. Four people traveled in the car, including two minors. The Mazda driver got out of the car on his own, and then fled to the forest. Thanks to the rapid reaction of the policemen, he was detained after a while. After checking, it turned out that the 19 -year -old had no right to drive vehicles, but he had almost a promil of alcohol in his body – informs the policewoman.

– After opening the trunk of the car, the police saw a young girl in it. It turned out that she was a 16-year-old who arbitrarily moved away from the care and educational institution and was sought after. The helicopter was transported to the hospital in Łódź. The other participants of the event did not injure – says aspirant Januszewska -Kalużna. The 19-year-old Mazda driver heard allegations. – He will be responsible for failure to keep the control, driving a passenger car despite a court ban and being under the influence of alcohol. In addition, he will be responsible for exposure to the danger of losing health or life, theft with burglary and attempted burglary. He faces a penalty of up to 10 years imprisonment – says a police spokeswoman in Opoczno.

In addition, the police determined that the 16-year-old Mazda passenger is responsible for breaking the glass in other vehicles, the juvenile court will decide about his fate.
